Plain-language summary of what OnchainTerm collects, why, and the third-party services involved.

Summary

OnchainTerm is a read-only market terminal. We don't sell personal data, we don't ask you to connect a wallet, and the terminal works without an account. The information below describes the limited data we do collect to keep the product running.

What we collect

Usage analytics. We use PostHog, Vercel Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights to understand which widgets are used and to spot performance issues. These tools record aggregated, pseudonymous events such as page views, clicks, viewport size, and approximate region.

Local preferences.Layouts, theme choices, watchlists, and similar settings are saved to your browser's local storage. They never leave your device unless you explicitly export them.

Contact form. If you write to us via the contact page, we receive the email address and message you send. We use it only to reply.

What we don't collect

  • No wallet connections, no private keys, no signatures.
  • No accounts or passwords for the public terminal.
  • No selling of personal data to advertisers or third parties.
  • No cross-site tracking beyond the analytics noted above.

Third-party data sources

The terminal pulls public market data from providers including Binance, CoinGecko, and TradingView. When your browser fetches charts, prices, or news from these providers, those requests are subject to the providers' own privacy policies.

Cookies & local storage

We use a small number of cookies and local storage entries to remember preferences and to attribute analytics events. You can clear them at any time through your browser. Disabling them does not break the terminal — it just resets your layout.

Data retention

Analytics events are retained by our processors according to their default retention policies. Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and are deleted on request.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete any contact-form correspondence we hold, or request a copy of any data tied to your email. Reach out via the contact page and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Changes

If we materially change how we handle data, we'll update this page and bump the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the terminal after a change means you accept the revised policy.
